Daddy Freeze mocks Akpororo after a video of his slashing ticket price for his show in Okokomaiko surfaces online

Last night, comedian Akpororo held a comedy gig at his neighbourhood in Okokomaiko, Lagos. A video however surfaced online showing organisers slashing ticket price and at some point making the show 'free' due to 'low turn-out'.
Daddy Freeze who once had a fall-out with Akpororo over paying of 'tithes' has now reacted to the video.
In his reaction, Freeze said, ' wasn’t this the same comedian that insulted me and called me a wall gecko at the House of the Rock experience last December? Has his tithe stopped working for him or did he miss paying his tithe for a month?
See the rest of his post below...
Although he cursed me and said hurtful things about me, I have forgiven him and have nothing but love for him and wish he stopped paying or advertising this idolatrous tithe and worshiped God for who he really is in spirit and truth
(John 4:24)
Paying tithe is idolatry and harlotry, it’s the worship of demons, the veneration of mammon and the hero worship of Satan who according to 2nd Corinthians 4:4, is the God of this world.
Christ our high priest never collected tithes and neither did the disciples, who were our first bishops and GOs.

Most girls actually throw themselves at directors and producers – Filmmaker, Teco Benson

Veteran film director and producer, Teco Benson, has said there are two sides to a story as many actresses/video vixens often offer themselves to the directors on a platter of gold.

In his words, 'that allegation is actually a two-way thing. We know people (directors, producers) who are guilty of such acts in the industry. They are a very irresponsible set of people. They believe that when these girls make

names for themselves, they would only mingle with big men and forget the people who gave them their first opportunities. Because of this, such directors like to take their piece of the pie when they still have the opportunity'.

He went on to say, “ meanwhile, many of those girls offer themselves. When the girls learn that a director/producer is holding an audition, they would start visiting them to offer forbidden fruits, all in a bid to sway their judgments and get roles. Most of the girls who do that are those who aren’t talented; so, the best they can do is to offer directors sex. And if the director/producer is gullible, he would fall into that trap. Those girls are very dangerous and they can go to any length to get what they want.”

Explaining how he deals with such situations of girls throwing themselves at him, Benson said, “the secret is God. For a natural man, it is going to be very difficult, and I have seen old men in their 50s who fell for such tricks. If you are disciplined, you would be able to overcome. Personally, I am very professional and don’t believe in mixing pleasure with work. I am very strict and like to put out the best; so, I will only cast people who have the ability to deliver.”

Kano State sharia police to arrest people eating in public during Ramadan

Nabahani Usman, the Commander-General of Kano Hisbah has said from Monday when Ramadan begins, his men will begin to arrest adults seen eating in public.

Usman said arrested persons would only be released upon provision of an exemption letter from a medical doctor or a proof of chronic ulcer. The Hisbah boss told the British Broadcasting Corporation that upon provision of evidence by any arrested person, he or she would be released with a warning not to eat in public anymore.

The Sharia boss had during the week arrested several sex workers and criminals ahead of the holy month. He said Ramadan was a special month for Muslims and anybody that practised Islam must fast.

Usman said, “We do this kind of operation yearly and we will continue it this year. The aim is to get every Muslim to respect the month of Ramadan. Even if a doctor says you should not fast, that does not mean you should eat in public while others are fasting. So any Muslim that we apprehend eating outside, our men will arrest and bring the person to our office unless he can show proof that a doctor asked him not to fast.”

There have been several reports in the past about arrest of persons eating during the month of Ramadan. Kano State has been practising Sharia law since 2001 when former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso signed the bill creating Hisbah.

Governor Fayemi to investigate Fayose’s 'last-minute' Governor Fayemi to investigate Fayose’s 'last-minute' recruitment of 2,000 workers in Ekiti State

Ekiti State Government has expressed its readiness to review the procedure that led to the recruitment of about 2,000 new workers into the civil service by the immediate past administration of Ayo Fayose.

The new set of workers had continually protested their non-recogition as bonafide civil servants by the current government, as well as non-payment of their salaries seven months after their engagement.

The State Commissioner for Information, Tourism and Values Orientation, Muyiwa Olumilua, disclosed this while addressing a group of physically challenged people also affected by the exercise. Olumilua noted that that none of the appointments, involving various categories of people went through due process, especially as it involved biometrics.

He said the recruitment was hurriedly done, even up till the very night of the day of exit of the former governor. The commissioner said it was on basis of that the Fayemi’s administration set up a committee headed by the Deputy Governor, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi to review the appointments. He said the committee was also to determine the actual available vacancies within the public service.

Olumilua disclosed that the committee had concluded its assignment and would soon take decisive verdict on the issue so that those involved could know their fate. Giving a breakdown of the total of 2,000 appointments, the commissioner said that 600 teachers were recruited into the Teaching Service Commission (TSC) while 400 personnel were employed into the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and 1,000 injected into the Ministry of Establishment.

He reiterated the commitment of the present administration to generation of employment opportunities without political coloration. “We want to assure that available vacancies will be equitably filled without prejudice and undue political consideration,” he said.
