Fiorentina sporting director, Daniele Prade reveals he infected nine members of his family including his wife and daughter with COVID-19

Daniele Prade, the sporting director of Serie A club Fiorentina has revealed that he infected nine members of his family including his wife and daughter with the deadly Coronavirus.

Describing his harrowing experience with the virus and his fears when his family members were hospitalised, the 53-year-old told Sky Sports Italia :'I experienced Covid-19 first-hand. In fact, nine members of my family got ill and I brought the virus into my home. It hit my wife, my daughter, my in-laws, and nephews.

'The worst of it was for my in-laws, who I was genuinely frightened for. They were in hospital for 30 days, fortunately, they were at the Spallanzani, one of the best clinics in the world for this virus.

'Fortunately, we all recovered and I will always be a spokesman for the measures we must take to prevent the spread of coronavirus.'

In Italy, 222,104 cases of Coronavirus have been recorded with 31,106 deaths and 112,541 recoveries.

Lagos police command detain music director, Clarence Peters, over death of dancer and video vixen, Kodak

On April 30th, Nigerians woke up to the sad news of the demise of Kodak. Reports had it that she was electrocuted while charging her phone at Clarence's apartment in Omole estate, Lagos state.

Bala Elkana, spokesperson of the state police command in a chat with LIB, confirmed that Clarence has been detained and is being questionned as the police is investigating for murder. He said since the incident happened in Clarence's apartment, himself and some others who were present at the time of the unfortunate incident, have been invited.
''Yes it is true, he is in our custody answering some questions.
We are investigating the circumstances that led to her death so definitely there are questions investigators will need to find out and he is one of those that need to answer some of those questions; that is why he has been invited and some few others who were there.'' Bala said

When asked if they will be detained beyond today, he responded
'They are detained. It is full fledged investigation. It is a murder charge. We are probably looking at murder. We are not concluding at this stage. If she died of electrocution according to reports, it is left for us to find out.  Was she actually electrocuted? What went wrong? Autopsy will also show'' he said

This Nigerian man was arrested in UK for spitting blood into an officer's eye.(Photo)

A Nigerian man is facing a "significant" prison sentence after he spat blood in a police officer's eye.

Temisan Oritsejafor, 41, attacked PC Napier who was arresting him after he assaulted his neighbour.

Police were called to his flat in Wyken, Coventry, on April 18 after he became abusive towards neighbour Alison Osborne.

During the incident, Oritsejafor suffered a bloody nose and while he was being arrested he spat in PC Napier's face.

A court heard Oritsejafor was on bail at the time for a previous assault on a police officer.

Oritsejafor admitted common assault and two charges of common assault on emergency workers at Warwick Crown Court.

Judge Andrew Lockhart QC said: "He is charged with two assaults on emergency workers, one of them while on bail.

"He must understand the sentence will be one of significant custody.

"I will be minded to pass deterrent sentences, and the sentence for the second matter is likely to be consecutive."

Oritsejafor, who was appearing via a video link from the prison, told the judge: "I didn't mean to spit in her face."

But the judge told him: "It is very likely you will be receiving a significant custodial sentence for these matters."

Prosecutor Mark Phillips said: "A male officer who believed he was being aggressive took him to the floor, and was assisted by a female colleague, PC Napier, to restrain him.

"As they're getting him up, he spits into the officer's face.

"That is spit and blood, because he had had a bleeding nose earlier, and it catches her straight in the eye."

Playing a CCTV recording of the incident, Mr Phillips added: "She is clearly upset, and she's very shaken indeed."

Oritsejafor was remanded in custody and will sentenced at a later date.

Abba Kyari, Buhari’s Chief of Staff, is dead.

Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, is dead. His age is unclear at this time.
Mr Kyari died of coronavirus. He received treatment at a private hospital in Lagos.
His death was announced by presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, in a Tweet early Saturday.
“Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, passes on. May God rest his soul. Amen. Funeral arrangements to be announced soon,” Mr Adesina wrote.
Mr Adesina sent a short statement, saying, “The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari. The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020. May God accept his soul. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.”
Mr Kyari had on March 23 tested positive to the novel coronavirus. On March 29, Mr Kyari issued a statement on his decision to move to Lagos for “further test and observation.”
The statement was the first official confirmation of his COVID-19 status since he was confirmed positive six days earlier.
In his statement, he said; “I have made my own care arrangements to avoid further burdening the public health system, which faces so many pressures.”
“This is a precautionary measure: I feel well, but last week I tested positive for Coronavirus, the pandemic that is sweeping the world. I have followed all protocols the government has announced to self-isolate and quarantine,” he said.
The perceived secrecy surrounding the management of Mr Kyari’s medical condition further heightened the agitation by Nigerians for information on the whereabouts of arguably Nigeria’s most powerful presidential aide.

Some Nigerians on social media had also speculated that Mr Kyari was flown abroad.
Although Mr Kyari and the government he served did not disclose the hospital where he received treatment, some sources suggested that he was treated at First Cardiology Consultant (FCC), a highly-sought-after private health facility located in Ikoyi, Lagos.
One of the sources who did not want to be named due to patient’s confidentiality guideline and sensitivity of Mr Kyari’s case matter confirmed to our reporter that the chief of staff later became very sick. While Mr Kyari received treatment at a private hospital, the Minister of Health, Osagie Enahire, warned private hospitals to stop treating COVID-19 patients and instead refer suspected cases promptly to various public facilities across states dedicated for the management of the disease.

It is unclear Saturday morning if Mr Kyari’s death is among the four new deaths announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) late on Friday.
The NCDC said Nigeria’s death toll increased to 17 on Friday from 13 on Thursday.
Nigeria has 493 confirmed cases of COVID-19 including the 17 deaths while 157 people have recovered and have been discharged.
Mr Kyari had travelled to Germany on March 7 and returned about a week later. He is suspected to have contracted the disease while there.
The chief of staff, who was in Europe alongside the power minister, Saleh Mamman, returned to the country on March 14.
The duo had travelled to Germany to meet with officials of Siemens AG in pursuit of the deal recently signed between the Nigerian government and the energy company towards improving electricity supply in the country.
Mr Kyari was first appointed chief of staff to the president in 2015 when Mr Buhari came to power. He was reappointed last year after his principal won reelection.According to a statement by the presidency when he was first appointed, Mr Kyari held Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick in Law and Sociology.
He worked with the New Nigeria Development Company, New Africa Holdings, African International Bank, the United Bank for Africa, Unilever, and Mobil in various capacities over the years.

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo's wife Cristina tests positive for Coronavirus

Cristina Cuomo, the wife of CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, has been diagnosed with Coronavirus two weeks after he announced he was infected.

Chris made the announcement from his family home on Wednesday night during a live interview with his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

'It's very rare for a family to be one-and-done,' the 49-year-old father-of-three said on his show, Cuomo Prime Time. 'And Cristina now has COVID. She is now positive, and it just breaks my heart. It is the one thing I was hoping wouldn't happen, and now it has.'

He later tweeted that his children are fine.

"Kids are still healthy but this shook us at our literal core," he said. "All are stepping up. Can't wait to shake this fever so I can help her as she helped me. Sucks."

According to Chris, his wife's symptoms include a loss of smell and taste, which Chris said that, based on anectodal evidence, appeared to be more common in milder cases of the illness.

The News anchor announced his coronavirus diagnosis two weeks ago. At the time, he said he was having fevers, chills, and shortness of breath.

Cuomo recently revealed he's now feeling well enough to work, and has continued to anchor his 9 p.m. program from his home
