Linda Ikeji explains how she moved from her humble beginnings to building a media empire as she covers Business Day's The CEO magazine(Photos)

Linda Ifeoma Ikeji is the latest CEO to grace the cover of Business Day's The CEO magazine.
The Linda Ikeji Media CEO sat with Business Day Magazine’s Editor Lehlé Baldé to speak extensively about building a media empire from next to nothing.

Linda Ikeji Media business began 12 years ago as just a personal blog where Dr Ikeji shared her personal stories. But she decided to do something different after reading Perez Hilton's blog, she told Ms Lehlé Baldé.

At this point, she began including gossips and entertainment stories and realized it increased her reach. This set her apart from other bloggers and soon turned the blog into an income-generating business.

Now, Linda Ikeji Media has expanded to include the Linda Ikeji TV and also a digital marketing company.

It was no mean feat but Linda said she achieved this with patience and also by not paying attention to the naysayers and all who tried to demean what she does for a living. The blog did not begin generating income until years later, but she said she kept at it and put in the work.

Linda Ikeji said her business ideas come from trying to meet a need. She said:

I think my ideas always come from my vision and where I see a need or where I think will be successful.

This, she said, is what led her to diversify the Linda Ikeji Media to TV and, more recently, digital marketing.

Breaking:Three people killed In helicopter accident near Mount Everest

A small plane veered off the runway and hit two helicopters while taking off near Mount Everest on Sunday, killing three people and injuring three, officials said.

The accident happened at Lukla airport which is the main gateway to the Everest region and is reputed to be one of the most difficult in the world for landings and take-offs. A co-pilot of the turbo-prop Let-410 plane run by Summit Air bound for Kathmandu and a police officer on the ground were killed on the spot, Lukla airport official Ema Nath Adhikari told AFP.

Another policeman died in hospital in Kathmandu, a police spokesman confirmed. “The plane slipped towards the helipad during take-off and collided with two helicopters. The injured have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment. We are not sure about the cause of the accident” Adhikari said.

Photos from the scene showed mangled and scorched wreckage of the plane and helicopters. Lukla airport is used by thousands of trekkers and climbers heading for the Everest region each year. It is particularly busy in April as the spring mountain climbing season begins.

42 year old man was found at the closet after sneaking to have sex with a 12-year-old

A father was horrified to find a pervert hiding in his closet after coming over to the house to have sex with his 12-year-old daughter.

The unidentified dad said he found 42-year-old Christopher Todd Leonard (pictured above) shirtless in the closet of his Texas home on November 2, 2018, while getting ready for work around 5.30am.

Leonard, who was not aggressive, told the father that the girl invited him over to their home. He claimed he thought the girl was 21. But the girl said the man was aware of her real age.

According to KPRC, Leonard said he had been talking to the girl through Facebook and Instagram.
The 12-year-old told authorities that she had met Leonard while using public transportation a few weeks prior to the incident. She said he gave her his phone number and they contacted each other through texts and phone calls.

When authorities looked through Leonard's phone, they also found sexually explicit messages that he had sent to the girl.

The girl's father told KPRC: "The man literally brainwashed her.

"Knowing this guy could have done something to my daughter and then knowing that I had another daughter that he could have done something to, it really affected me, and my family as well."

Police has issued a warrant for Leonard's arrest. He has been charged with online solicitation of a minor.
